Aref is a leading developer and expert in the Real Time Control system marketplace. He has over 30 years experience in the industrial marketplace developing control systems for such varied applications as Medical Systems, Robotics, Telecommunications, Parallel computing, Railway signalling, Network communications, Banking and finally Building Eco/Management Systems.
Aref started the Newera project in the late 80´s in the horticultural controls market in conjunction with the Silsoe Research Institute. The latest version on Linux RT is the Newera Controls GCS software suite featuring full self-tuning and PID control functionality and data integration facilities. Aref sits on the CIBSE Intelligent Buildings Group committee.
